On 10th November Rights for Residents wrote to the Chief Inspector at the CQC, Kate Terroni, to raise concerns that care providers continue to defy official guidance, that recognises the right of residents to a family life.

On the 22nd November, Kate Terroni, Chief Inspector of the CQC replied to concerns raised by Rights for Residents, including the fear of evictions when challenging unfair decisions relating to visiting access . In their response, the CQC say they are keen to explore what could be done jointly to relieve people’s anxieties about sharing information with them.
