Another year passes with NO visits on Mothers day, for so many of us

Wendie Talbot has spoken of her heartache at not seeing her mum for a second Mother’s Day in a row due to care home restrictions. Wendie, 55, has only seen her mum, Emmeline Parrington, 87, a handful of times due to restrictions around visiting care homes. When the Government announced changes to care home guidelines from March 8 that would allow face to face visits, Wendie believed she would finally be reunited with her mum. But families were dealt a devastating blow when management at Picktree Court Care Home, in Chester le Street Durham said visits would not resume until March 16 and will see visitors kept outdoors while residents are inside.
